Find your breathing space . . . .
We all need a breathing space, time that we dedicate to our own health and well being, space to find out how we really feel, and time to replenish lost energy and recharge the batteries.
Far from being selfish - this breathing space is an essential component of a healthy physical, emotional and engaged life, and when we learn how to create this breathing space - quite simply life is richer. The practices of Yoga and Meditation are two of the most ancient, wholesome and proven ways in which to discover a breathing space that is uniquely yours. This retreat will help you to step off autopilot and bring yourself fully into the present moment. Together with daily yoga and meditation practise, we'll be looking at how we can respond with more awareness to the things that stress us, learning Mindfulness techniques that we can apply to our every day lives. Our aim is that you will spend a relaxing week on retreat, but importantly once home, you will have the tools with which to keep in touch with those feelings of being more aware, more connected and less stressed. |
The daily routine will offer plenty of free time - with activities before and after breakfast and daily yoga in the late afternoon. Afternoons will be yours to use as you wish. We will incorporate the element of silence into this week together, and hold silence between 10pm up until mid morning. Yoga and Meditation offer the possibility of a more self-aware, compassionate life. They both ask you to come as you are, starting from where you are. We hope you will join us. |

'I have been practising and teaching Yoga and Meditation for over 28 years and I have seen time and again its power to enrich, transform and support the lives of those who practise. Including my own! I was trained to be a Yoga teacher by Velta Wilson, an inspirational teacher and a founder member of the British Wheel of Yoga. I also hold a BSY Associate Hatha Yoga Teaching Diploma. I trained to teach Mindfulness Meditation and MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and I attend regular CPD retreats and have monthly supervision with my Mindfulness mentor. At home in Dorset, I teach yoga to people of all ages and all abilities - from beginner to intermediate and a dedicated class for seniors. I'm especially passionate about reaching out to those who feel they are inflexible, unfit or unable to do yoga. Yoga practise is available to everyone. For more information about how I teach, please have a look at my website purbeckmindfulness.co.uk. |
