AN INTIMATE RETREAT VENUE IN THE HEART OF THE FRENCH LOIRE

We have a beautiful 14th-century farmhouse in the Loire Valley, where during your stay you will wake each morning to the nature that surrounds this mediaeval site, and immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility.  This family farmhouse has been  lovingly restored over the past 30 years into a place full of vitality.  It has now evolved into a space for intimate retreats, and has become a special place to explore, unwind and create..

Venue

The 700 year old farmhouse was bought by my family over 30 years ago, and has been lovingly restored since then. In total there are four converted barns which can sleep up to around 15 guests. There is also a brand new canvas stretch tent in the garden which makes for an amazing outdoor practice space, a yurt on site which is often used as a meditation/ healing space, or it can double up as a luxurious double bedroom under the stars. 

There is approximately an acre of garden space spread around the farm, with hammocks hidden amongst the fruit orchard. There is also a private 16m heated swimming pool, a games room with pool and table tennis tables, so plenty of room to relax in and have fun! Wifi is also available.

As of this year we also now have a wood burning sauna!

​Helping others

​This is a social enterprise, and thus aims to help more than just those who attend the retreats. Despite the obvious benefits that each person will come away with, a portion of each retreat will be donated to African Vision Malawi - a non-profit charity started by my Mum, helping orphans and vulnerable people in rural Malawi.

Since 2005 the charity has been helping those in one of the World's poorest countries to become healthy, educated and self-sufficient. For more info please visit the website below

Cuisine

 ​All of the food throughout your stay is lovingly prepared on site, with fresh ingredients and locally sourced wherever possible. In some cases salad comes straight from the garden. A new addition is the homemade cob pizza oven, which has become a bit of a game changer!

All meals are vegetarian or vegan. Please get in touch if you have any allergies or dietary requirements before signing up.

Find us

The Farm is situated in the picturesque Loire Valley, in between two historic mediaeval towns; Chinon, and Richelieu. If arriving by air, the nearest airports are Tours and Poitiers, which are just under an hour away. Trains also go to Tours, where you can change and get another train to Chinon which is nearby. Please check on the retreat pages for info regarding which airport to fly to as they differ. If you are driving please see the address below:
