SOULFUL SUMMER YOGA

3rd-7th July 2025

Picture
Celebrate the summer and recharge your inner solar-powered batteries over a 4 night retreat of soulful Yoga and Meditation in this converted medieval farm, deep in the beautiful countryside of the Loire Valley.

Enjoy a revitalising mix of warming, transformational yoga and workshop-style sessions to inspire and develop your personal practice, balanced with nourishing, ease-filled postures, somatic awareness movement, yin and restorative yoga to allow you to go deeper and truly let go. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the practices and the amazing French countryside surroundings for a truly sublime summer retreat.
Settle in to your new home for the duration of your stay, then enjoy a nectar-infused gentle flow to tease out knots in the tissues and muscles from your travels, before a freshly prepared Vegetarian/Vegan dinner.

Over your time here you’ll experience a range of styles with a different anatomic and philosophical focus threaded through, but all dancing around the theme of harnessing and celebrating the summer energy, taking stock and recharging ourselves. Each morning,  we will explore different forms of pranayama and meditation, including gentle flowing Yoga & Qi Gong inspired movement meditation outside and barefoot, before a long flowing practice to invigorate and inspire.

There will be free time each afternoon for whatever nourishes you, such as walking in nature, reading in a hammock, exploring the local area, or likely swimming in the heated outdoor pool before  our early evening yoga. This will vary between workshop-style sessions, flow and restore, or yin/fascia releasing movement and Yoga Nidra depending on the group energy, before enjoying our freshly prepared dinner. During our time together we will gather around a campfire after dinner for songs, tales and meditation under the stars.

The daily schedule will no doubt be tweaked as the days evolve, depending on levels, styles and any conditions or requests!

The Yoga and meditation practices will be suitable for all abilities – with inspiration and encouragement to help you progress and deepen your practice wherever you are.  Modifications and alternatives will be offered for injuries and health issues, and challenges for those who want more.

The daily routine will offer plenty of free time – with most activities before breakfast and late afternoon before dinner. Afternoons will be yours to use as you wish.

We will keep silence on wakening, until after the morning meditation session. This is a beautiful practice to experience in a friendly group setting.

About Jayne

Jayne Miller teaches a fluid, soulful style of yoga, with a strong focus on healthy alignment, breath awareness and playful exploration. She loves watching individuals blossom and develop confidence and joy in their yoga (and lives) wherever they are.

Since her first experience of yoga – watching her mum go goggle-eyed practising Lion’s breath –  she’s studied a vast range of styles and traditions from the dynamics of Ashtanga, Shadow, and Acro, to gentle fascia release movement.

Jayne is continually evolving her practice and experiences, bringing her students along for the ride. She trained with the BWY and YogaCampus, and completed an advanced Rasa teacher training with Sianna Sherman, Somatic awareness training with Tias Little and is a qualified SUP (Paddleboard) yoga teacher. She is accredited by the BWY and Yoga Alliance (500hr), teaching in London since 2010. Alongside this, she has a long-term meditation practice and a love of looking at the world from upside down.
